It’s time to get excited. It’s that time of year where next year is, well, this year. No more excuses. No more comments about Shane “Clutch” Graham (well on second thought go for it). So Mike Brown and his medical staff can’t seem to get it right. Who cares?! We have he Dynamic Duo! We have one hell of a TE prospect. We have one bad-ass white boy from Texas. And we have a scary defense (if they stay healthy).
This year we will be doing things a little differently. Since Brother’s was kind enough to offer up there “large” tv sets, even when the Colts weren’t playing, we have decided to move the viewing. We will now be set up with our very own Sunday Ticket. So we are calling all Indianapolis area Bengals fans. Please feel free to join us each and every Sunday. If you are interested please email whodeyindy@gmail.com. We will let you know the details.
It’s that time. Time to get better (or worse). Time to hate Mike Brown even more. Time to pass on the next DeSean Jackson (I sure hope not). Throughout the next 3 days we will be discussion all things Draft. Feel free to chime in with pick analysis, predictions, frustrations, digs on The Rapist, etc.
Also, now that the schedule has been released, it is time to discuss game trips. First one that stares out at me in November 8th vs. the Steelers. Monday Night Football should be a hell of a time. Other candidates might be Sept. 19 vs. Ravens, Dec. 19th vs. the Brown-Browns (my birthday wink-wink), and day after Christmas vs. Chargers. Thoughts?
Let’s also discuss possible game watching locations. Brother’s has been pretty good to us, but someone needs to get Sunday Ticket. If not, where else?
It’s that time of year. You either get better, worse, or make your fans say “What the hell?” The NFL Draft is just around the corner (1 week to be exact). Here are some of my pre Draft thoughts (after the jump).
Can you smell that? It’s Spring! That means big football news, camps, workouts, that draft thing. It also means I get to tear up some more golf courses (I don’t mean with my low scores). Just wanted to let everyone know that big things are in the works for WhoDeyIndy.com. Check back before the draft. We have a new logo. We will have an updated site (with more features). We will also be adding more content. Let’s get some more fans and make this more legit than it already is. Who is with me? Bueller… Bueller.
Dear Colts and fans: If you think that resting your starters in the third quarter of the 15th game of the season was a good idea against a team desperate for a playoff berth, then I present to you the New York Jets.
You laid down and let the Jets win. Of course, you may have done that with the thought that you would keep some dignity because you were not ahead by all that many points when the coach pulled the starters. Chances are the Jets may very well have won that game outright.
Bengals.com and the Cincinnati Enquirer are reporting they have both received texts from Mike Zimmer stating he will return to the Bengals. If this is true, this is the best news we could have hoped for!
Mission #1 of the off season has now been completed. Now, on to the others…
Greetings, friends of the Who Dey. I have tried to stay away from writing for two days so I could soak in the massacre that took place at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday and put it into perspective.
The following is the perspective I have arrived at all on my very own accord:
–Finally, another playoff season for the Stripers.
–6-0 in the AFC North rocks.
–Who really thought this team was going to be a force in the AFC North this past season except the team itself?
–Even though they lost, no one can take the Division Championship away from us.
–Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Cleveland can collectively pucker up and kiss our backsides.
Game sucked. No offense other than Cedric Benson. Mike Zimmer will be the next defensive coordinator in Washington. Will someone PLEASE cut Shayne Graham?
–Coles has injured thumb, and now Caldwell is injured. Only Chad MouthoCinco and Quan Cosby are healthy and Chad can’t break free of Revis.
–Palmer is killing Bengals with high passes and interception. Thank God for Brian Leonard’s recovery of Palmer’s fumble.
–Momentive changed sides after the long run for touchdown by Green of the Jets.
–Bengals need miracle at this point even though only down by a touchdown at half.
We are stuck in Colts Country but without problems like an "idiot kicker getting all liquored up," because our problems run much, much deeper.
We've never had the opportunity to complain about the number of Super Bowls that we should have won under Tony Dungy. We've never had the luxury of turning Division III players into playmakers. And, we obviously don't have any Super Bowl rings since they don't give those out to 2 time runners up.
Yet, we still hold our collective heads high in this land of exile despite whatever Mike Brown, Odell Thurman, or Corey Dillon tries to do to us.
