Two Days after Custer’s Last Stand
Posted by dinkywinky
Greetings, friends of the Who Dey. I have tried to stay away from writing for two days so I could soak in the massacre that took place at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday and put it into perspective.
The following is the perspective I have arrived at all on my very own accord:
–Finally, another playoff season for the Stripers.
–6-0 in the AFC North rocks.
–Who really thought this team was going to be a force in the AFC North this past season except the team itself?
–Even though they lost, no one can take the Division Championship away from us.
–Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Cleveland can collectively pucker up and kiss our backsides.
Now, positive business and changes are listed as follows:
–Mike Zimmer MUST be retained at ALL costs.
–Carson Palmer MUST get 100% healthy.
–Extend Cedric Benson again right now.
–Extend Marvin Lewis for two more years.
–Do not ever entertain the idea of resigning Shayne “Captain Hook” Graham. Let him slink out of town like he did out of the stadium without meeting the press. Loser.
–It is time to replace Bob Bratkowski, but the Bengals won’t do it. If they don’t want to replace him, integrate the passing game into the running game and make it a balanced attack.
–Either sign a speed demon wide receiver who can catch and hold onto the ball, or draft one.
–Cut Jerome Simpson and Laverneus Coles.
–Get Antwan Odom healthy for an entire season.
–Work on pass protection.
–Glue Ochocinco’s mouth shut and take his computer access away. It is time to shut up and play without all the crap.
Overall, it was a very good season. Now it is time to let the front office staff (not the receptionist) work on getting the right players through the draft and free agency. Players want to come to Cincinnati now. Let’s take advantage of that.
Oh, one more thing: win the damn playoff game next year and don’t put yourself in position to have to barely win games against modest competition. Put on the accelerator and put the game out of reach early each time you have the opportunity.
Who Dey!
