First things are always first. Tim, our epic web developer, gets hitched this weekend. He will be sorely missed, but I am sure he will get by having to watch the game from a Costa Rican beach. Thanks again Tim for all of your dedication to the IWDC and congratulations!

–

If it’s not the 4th string Tight End, it’s the 1st and 2nd stringers. You plug one leak and another starts, and in the case of the Defense – a flood breaks loose. Clearly, the offense hasn’t been as effective as they are capable of being. But whose fault is it really? Coles caught a touchdown pass and appears to be ramping up his production after a frighteningly slow start. But at the same time, Chris Henry has gone into the witness protection program [which is ironic given his past indiscretions]. Benson continues to teeter on the precipice of epic while the tight end squad goes down ill with Coles’ stone hand affliction. Players return from injury this week only to lose Odom for the season. The Bye week couldn’t come at a better time.

Still, the Cardiac Cats will have to limp through this week and pull a “W” out of Chad’s magic gloves, which will be no easy task. Johny Knox[ville], Hester, and Cutler will all provide ample entertainment for the Who Dey nation this weekend. Kevin Huber should obviously direct ALL of this punts towards the Gatorade coolers, lest he is looking for TD spree.

Things we learned from Week 6:

1.) Denzel Washington is no longer welcome at the Holy Shrine to Bengals Footballdom known as Paul Brown Stadium

2.) A cathartic defensive performance for Mike Zimmer against Baltimore is undoubtedly a tough act to follow when the celebrating is over

2.) Chase Coffman isn’t just an option at Tight End any longer, he is THE SOLUTION

I know, I know Mikey Brown allegedly made a trade offer to the Cowboys for Martellus Bennet. Okay, then why did you draft arguably the best receiving Tight End is college Football last season? Throw away pick? In the 3rd Round?!

Whether they like it or not, Chase Coffman is going to have to be run out on the field as the starting Tight End this weekend. Sorry Bratowski, but you’re gonna have to get creative again, a la 2005, and design some formations that allow Chase to line up as a receiver and not a blocker. As the old saying goes, “reap what you sow”. Come on, it’s not like were asking Chase to long snap!

Omens for Week 7:

1.) Cedric Benson is apparently not looking for revenge this week, sure… and when LeBron says he wants to posterize W. it’s because he’s a registered Republican

2.) Ocho is doing more community service and taking 100 people to see Saw 6 at Newport on the Levee tonight, the good news is that Denzel Washington is not in any of the 6 Saw movies… just Danny Glover.

3.) Cincinnati was just purported to be the upcoming “Silicon Valley of Marketing” for the entire country thanks to P&G and Kroger – take that Chicago and your world renowned Michigan Avenue advertising agencies.

–

As always, let’s plan to meet at Brother’s in Broad Ripple about 30 minutes before game time of 4:15. Don’t forget to wear your “Child Pleeez” shirts.
